The PNA Mourns the Loss of Dr. Charles Wilson

The PNA is sad to announce the passing of one of the great pituitary neurosurgeons of our time, Dr. Charles Wilson, who recently passed away at age 88. Dr. Wilson practiced at UC San Francisco for 34 years, retiring in 2002. He pioneered transsphenoidal surgery, where doctors remove a tumor through the nasal cavity, thus greatly reducing recovery time. Dr. Wilson was a very good friend to the PNA and we send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. We refer you to a comprehensive obituary published in the New York Times.
